Online printing of labels in store with current data source from e-shop
HS Flamingo, a top Czech manufacturer of fireplaces and fireplace inserts, maintains its e-shop at a high level. It is up to date and has all the product descriptions and correct information on it. However, the brick-and-mortar shop turned out to have outdated or slightly different information. So they asked us for a solution to print the information from the e-store on the label in the online store, with completely up-to-date information.
Basically, how to synchronize the e-store information with the in-store information. In the store, all the information about the goods is on a self-adhesive label that is stuck on the goods and by which the customer selects the goods.
CODEWARE handles different types of printing on different self-adhesive labels. Now the challenge was to make the e-shop the data source and to get this data source in actual form on the label in the store. For CODEWARE it was basically a customisation in an already created software - TERMINAL ARCHITECT.
We suggested to the customer that the employee use a TSC RE310 mobile printer to print the labels. When the barcode of the goods is read by the terminal, for example this one with a physical CipherLab RK26 keyboard, a label is printed which contains the actual description of the goods and information about them.
We used TERMINAL ARCHITECT as a software tool to load the data into the terminal, which allows easy data integration. It is a universal CODEWARE communication software that has been used many times for deploying mobile terminals in various applications. Now we have used XML feed format from the e-shop for the data source.
Check out the store now and choose according to the current data. You don't have to go to the internet, to the e-shop, everything is currently on display.
HS Flamingo was delighted with the result, the transfer of data to the physical store was made faster and easier, everything is up to date and error free.
