The CipherLab 1862 is a rugged handheld RFID reader designed for efficient long-range data capture in warehouse, logistics and industrial environments. It enables reading RFID tags from distances of up to 5 meters and writing data from up to 1.5 meters, allowing workers to collect or update tag information on high-stacked pallets directly from ground level. Item-level data can be captured quickly without opening cartons, significantly improvingrodu ctivity and reducing handling time. The device is ideal for harsh or hazardous environments where RFID is one of the most reliable identification and data collection technologies.
By combining RFID and barcode-based workflows, the CipherLab 1862 adds flexible dual-mode data capture to existing mobile devices, supporting warehouse operations, asset management, field service and retail inventory management.
It is supplied with configuration tools for PC, Windows mobile computers and CipherLab terminals, as well as a .NET SDK for easy integration and custom application development.
Two included batteries ensure continuous 24/7 operation without downtime, and optional adapters allow connection to a wide range of mobile devices.
